Description
The drug is used to control high lipid levels and commonly used in cardiovascular disease.
This drug is HMG-CoA Reductase inhibitor (statins) , acts by inhibiting the conversion of HMG-CoA (3-Hydro-3-methyl glutaryl coenzyme A) to mevalonate by enzyme HMG-CoA reductase.
Hence it reduces CH Synthesis by 20-25%.
